Like it or not, there are few better at personal branding than Kim Kardashian in Hollywood. She has made a career of getting herself seen and talked about. You don't have to be a Kardashian to keep up with the personal branding prowess. Here are 4 things you can do today.

1. Build relationships that last more than 72 days

You want to build relationships that last longer 72 days? (If you don't know why 72 is the magic number, good for you.) Build your customer relationship one day at a time--one phone call at a time. Building relationships take time. So work on it everyday. It's about getting to know your customers. Find out what adds value and how you can help them solve their business problems. That is what builds trust and relationship over time.

2. Be seen on the red carpet

Hit the social media and the networking circuit. When you post, make sure you are sharing valuable, quality content. Just remember that when you take that picture at a networking event and share it on the social media, it stays in the public realm forever. So be your best photogenic self.

3. Send the paparazzi your itinerary

It's not fair to compare your LinkedIn and Twitter followers to paparazzi but that's the closest comparison I can think of. Figure out which followers are retweeting or favoriting your tweets. These people are more active on social media and are more likely to make that one extra click that will help get your name out.

4. Start a fragrance line

She has a TV show or two. She has a fragance line. She even has a chart-topping app that is grossing in the millions. The point is that she is channeling her brand equity into different areas and monetizing them. You can do the same with your expertise and knowledge by packaging them differently. Via collaboration and partnership, you can venture into new territories that may be unfamiliar in the past. Check out our "How to Be Memorable" training course.
